What an exciting start to Awanita 2016!

Everyone arrived safe and sound… although a little later than planned. Between traffic, a long food stop, and the bus check engine light coming on, the bus pulled up a little later than planned. Scott Raymond was our hero doing many, many loads of bringing students and luggage directly to the lodge (the bus couldn’t quite get up the gravel road to our lodge).

Once we were settled, we still had a great night of worship and lots of giggling as they climbed into bed. I am in the middle school girls room and they literally woke up singing! As I type, everyone is headed to breakfast. Fingers crossed for sausage wrapped in pancakes! :)

There is absolutely no service here. I have not been able to receive any texts or calls on my phone, so make sure to call the Awanita office number if you have an emergency. Otherwise, know that your student is having a great time! I will send out a Facebook notice when we leave on Sunday to give you an as accurate as possible arrival time.

Keep praying for us today as we begin to really dive into Scripture to see what God’s Word has for us. We will be talking about what it means to be connected to Christ and to each other as well as how we are called to live that out.

It is going to be a great day!
