It's been an incredible experience this weekend at Awanita. We've played games, sung songs, prayed prayers, and opened our Bibles (a lot!). The students have built deeper relationships with one another and with us leaders. They've run and played, they've paddled and canoed, they've done zip lines, water slides, and Humvee rides. It's been fun and relaxing and the students have had a much needed time to unplug (no cell service!), and recharge their souls.

We've walked through the life of Jesus, looking at how his one unique life was a "misfit" life. And we've looked at how that makes us misfits too. The amazing thing is that God uses misfits like us to change the world.

We've also been really blessed by some wonderful worship with our new friend Karmen - a truly talented and beautiful worship leader. She's led us through some powerful times of praise and worship.

Throughout it all, our amazing team of leaders has loved and cared and challenged these students in a huge way. These leaders are the heartbeat of this ministry. And we're grateful for their hearts for ministry.
